Samsung wanted to launch an Android football app, just in time for the FIFA World Cup 2014, for their Samsung Galaxy Tab S tablets. They wanted to make the Samsung app, in combination with your Samsung SmartTV, the ultimate football viewing experience. It provides the user with handy information, such as 3D view of every goal, real time updates (such as ball possession, passes and shots on goal), upcoming matches, info on all teams, player vs player comparisons and so on.
We got approached by SID LEE to come up with the name + logo + visual language + all promotional material including an animation. The strategic insight was “Data is knowledge and knowledge is power” we knew that our target wanted a competitive edge, true power is all about information. Knowing more, quicker. The name speaks for itself; Kick, Kick off, Kick back and relax. And the graphic language was inspired by the graphic lines on a football pitch. Samsung KICK was promoted in owned and paid media, with great success.
